My Biography
I started my career in the financial services industry with a national firm right out of college in 1990. I learned right away that the secret to being successful is not only be good at what you do, but to always make sure to put the client’s needs first. I built up a successful client base in those early years, many of whom are still with me today.
Within five years, I was managing a branch office in downtown Baltimore, Maryland, and soon it would become one of the top offices in our firm nationwide. In 2000, an opportunity presented itself and I headed west, and with two other partners, bought and franchised, a then corporate owned branch office, in La Jolla, California. While achieving a certain level of independence away from corporate driven product, we did not become truly independent until 2002 when we joined J.P. Turner & Company.
After 13 great years with J.P. Turner, the company was sold in 2014 and I soon joined award winning Summit Financial Networks. Joining Summit gave me even greater access to products, services, and research, while still maintaining the independent culture that I find so critical to the success of my clients.
The ability to find and present products that address a client's goals, objectives, and risk tolerances cannot be understated. When I combine that freedom, with my 30 years of experience, and provide responsive, reliable client service, it allows me to become the best advisor I can be. I believe that combining all of this with Summit Financial puts myself and my clients in the absolute optimal position for success.
